Yesterday's thoughts

Yesterday's thoughts

A Poem by ROSALIND

I wish I could smile
But I have to sigh
I wish I could laugh
but I have to cry
I wish I could be happy
But I simply feel sad.
I wish I could fly
But instead I am imprisoned
I wish I could have fun
But instead I am bored
I wish I could have better days
But instead they are bad
My life is meaningless
Bound by lockdown
Chained by restrictions
But for now
My life as been put on hold.

New world dear Rosalind. I feel the same. I need some time away from home. Live music, some conversation and a open world. We are chained by restrictions. Hello dear friend and thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.
