Nota Advena

Nota Advena

A Poem by Rowen Cameron
"

Appearances say all is as it was. Truth begs to differ.

"
Thy name be known.
Thy face oft seen.
Yet I ask who art thou?
Thy voice exact
In tone and flair.
Still I ask who art thou?
I speak thy name,
Thou answers true.
But thrice, pray, who art thou?

Requests once honoured
Now rebuffed.
Gifts once cherished
Now worth naught.
Care once welcome
Now a strain.
Thou dost not echo
The form you wear.

Blind thou art
To those who see.
Deaf thou art
To those who hear.

Senses be abandoned
Lest the prized one calleth.

Thy name be known.
Thy face oft seen.
Yet I ask who art thou?
Thou appear untouched
But change claims thee.

Must I ask
Who art thou?
