The Drunk Text

We've all been there.

When someone invented the mobile phone,

Do you think he or she'd considered,

The feeling that you get when you wake up hungover,

And see what messages were delivered.

Texts. So easy, so fast, so detached from real interaction.

Easy to say what you don't mean.

Yet so concrete.

Irreversible. Complete. Evidence on a screen.

Don't drink and dial my friends.

Don't let your beer goggles cloud your eyes as you type.

Because the text will be read by sober eyes.

Who may not understand it was utter tripe.
