Poem written for the talent portion of pageant at my college.

Roses are red

Violets are blue

Please select me

For Mr. HU

It's not hard to see

I was in a rush

Get a poem done

Spoken without blush

My effort was none

I finished it fast

True only until

Realized at last

This poem is still

Currently concise

Simply must occur

It be written twice

Keeping pace steady

But what else to write

I must keep going

With no end in sight

No thoughts are flowing

I'm hitting the wall

Lack of objective

Progress to a crawl

Might be subjective

Things not going well

Don't enjoy stalling

I hope you can tell

Ideas calling

But what could they be

Shall this poem end

Before you all flee

You must comprehend 

These words that I speak

I have written them

To be quite unique

I gave you this gem

My poem's embrace

Now I must leave

And bow with grace
