To find the way again

To find the way again

A Poem by Rudi J.P. Lejaeghere
"

Either I will find a way, or I will make one. Philip Sidney

"

Lay against the wind, searching warmth,

rise on the air and cutting clouds,

to float between gulls, shouting

like a child that finds his way,

arms wide and the heart bright open,

the word that’s lying on the lips

is sweet and salt and in the middle

it tastes like the deepest phrases,

and within the knowing, to start again,

it is to forget but still remember

what loving is, to get the chance

on a relieving sigh of forgiveness,

to find the way again.

Rudi: OH my just gorgeous....you are gifted....and within the knowing, to start again,
it is to forget but still remember
what loving is, to get the chance
on a relieving sigh of forgiveness,
....to find the way again.

Brilliant words; you lifted my spirit....Thank you so much....Dale

Oh, for sure forgiveness is part and parcel an integral dimension of love, Rudi. Without forgiveness love can, and does, turn into something horrid and nasty, nothing like it was when it was first born. We are not a perfect people. We make mistakes, forgiveness can save the day.

You're so right, JerryB, I'm glad you liked it. Thank for your kind remarks. :) Rudi
if love is true, forgiveness will be a big part of that love...
we all lose our way sometimes, but given a chance, we will find it again.

Beautiful and gentle words.
"arms wide and the heart bright open,

I like the above lines a lot and how you directed the reader to the very good ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Thank you, John, always nice to read your remarks. Happy you liked it. :) Rudi
Some of us give up on trying to find love, especially after losing it the first time, however, as you challenge us in this piece, we must "find the way again". Thanks for sharing!
