Too blind to see

Too blind to see

A Poem by Poetrylover

DOWN the longest road i went.
DEEP the darkest tunnels I dug.
UP the highest mountain I climbed.
Neither did i spare the widest river.
Searching in vain
For love never found.

Sadly
It is dawning
On
Me.
It is too dark for you to see.
Too numb for you to feel.
Too low for you
To
Hear.

Perfumes expensive and exotic
I wore.
Adorned myself in expensive jewelry.
I knelt till my knees hurt
For divine intervention.
Maybe,
Like Bathelomew
Your eyes would be opened.

Sometimes I see you in my dreams.
Sometimes all you do is give a blank frightening stare.
Sometimes your lips close on mine.
Sometimes i am lying in your arms.
But when morning comes
I am all alone.

Am i asking too much?
Wanting you.
Is it a sin?
Time pass by with hopes you would feel the same.
Time passed by again
With hopes the feeling would fade.

I am here.
Can't you see?
They want me.
Even you can see it.
They write it in their poems.
Like gold they rush
For me.
But its you whom i want
Sadly, my lips ducktapped.
Oppressed by Culture.
And i am left with no one to tell.

And you,
Do you, do you even recognize me
Or the sight of me makes your stomach turn?
I even hate myself so...
Now
My cologne smells nothing than a trash can.
My jewelry are rusted chains
I wish to break free.

Who do I tell that you are all I ever wanted?
