The Light

The Light

A Poem by The Rainmaker

The whirl of tormented winds
Cursing and gasping
Twisting and laughing
Hide the light

Desperate clutches, an iron grasp
Grasping around
Looking to ground
Remember the light

Winds fall away, the calm begins
Remembering your hands
The warmth of your heart
I Found my light

I may have taken something different away than other readers. But my mind thought of the fields of France 1915.

Very enjoyable, and makes the reader think and wonder the meaning behind one set of words against the other.

this is a great piece. your writing seems to carry heavy metaphors. As I read this, I imagined the light as a calming and grounding soul that brings peace to the chaos.
