She Falls Asleep

A totally random poem about a girl falling asleep... Sleep... fall asleep...

the night is shining brightly

the vision of herself is failing

the evening falls into a dark night

as she falls asleep

 

and as she gently falls asleep

her dreams take over the night

a sunny day at the beach, a night under stars

the ocean calls her from afar

 

the wind whispers in her ear

the moon forces her eyelids to a shut

the shadows closes her mouth

as she falls asleep

Author's Note

I didn't hide an inner meaning in this poem, but if you do think you have found one, please tell me. This is one of those poems written for no apparent reason (to myself), which I find disturbing for some unknown reason (see, I'm totally clueless right now).

You can definitely appreciate the beauty of a good-night sleep .. this one I relate too in way of leaving my bedroom window open sometimes to catch the sweet breeze as I float off. Then the image of a beautiful woman enters my mind drifting off with a warm smile. I like it.. keep it up! The ocean calling her well I have had dreams like that and usually went the window is left open on a humid night say like after a nice rainfall.. the scent that fills the air and lulls one to sleep.. can't be replaced.
