When I Leave This Place (Version 2)

When I Leave This Place (Version 2)

A Poem by Meh
"

A more recent touch-up the original poem. There's just a few minor changes to it; actually, just two changes I can remember off the top of my head. Inspired by and deticated to Rio del Norte (RDN).

"

When I leave this place,

I will never forget your face
My beloved RDN,
You were my only friend.

I may leave in tears,
But I will overcome my fears
Thanks to you,
I will live my life full and through

All because of you, RDN.

I have learned
That the world is my friend
I can trust,
I have learned everything I must

When I leave this place,
I can stand up high
With a smile on my face.

You never treated me
Like an outsider or a rat,
And because of that,
I will never forget your face

When I leave this place.

Author's Note

Meh
Be honest, be blunt, but always remember that this was one of my earliest poems, so it really isn't as well-written as the more recent ones.
