Aching and Shaking

I have this aching in my chest and it won't let me rest
Piece by piece I fall to my knees
It hurts to swallow it aches to wallow
Why must I be plagued with such fate?
In any rate, I now realize you used me as bait
I lie in bed, my head is racing
I'm so quiet I can hear my heart pacing
These tears that fall, are none but my own
Why can't my heart just be made of stone?
You were always so vague
It was as if you were your own version of the plague
How did things get here so quickly?
As I stare in the mirror I look so sickly
I loved you without bounds
Yet you were out and about making your rounds
One day this will all be past me
Soon enough you'll see that no one outlasts me
So let me be, let me see
And one day I'll be completely free
You'll be a fading memory
And all you'll have left is nothing but your treachery
