My Regret

My Regret

A Poem by Kyle Francisco

May this end
no need to defend
and I ascend
as I breathe
soft touch
it meant so much
sunsets
simple comments
wrapped in passion
it was bound to happen
soft spoken
beyond my powers
conversed for hours
day of sanctuary
spellbound
whirlwind of thought
easily bought
told of sorrow
mind on you with each tomorrow
in love with you
longing for hi
too afraid for goodbye
in the end
no will to contend
as I breathe
finally put to sleep
