Whole love

Whole love

A Poem by NM Sarah

Some love consumes leaving only ashes

Some dissect leaving pieces in their paths

Or love can be single sided adoring

And for the adored it’s colorless and boring

Love can be a desperate aching need

Where there’s no you without me

Or the abandoned love of the pleading

Broken and alone, the lover is bleeding

Baggage can weight a true love down

Because there’s no healing, it’s fated to drown

Or adversity can leave a dwindling faith

Where love is replace with bitterness and hate

But my lover isn’t wanting, he’s whole

Not a needy beggar of my soul

I neither suffocate nor worship on bended knee

He loves a whole, complete me.
