Blind World

Blind World

A Poem by Wes Hart

A world of vultures teems beneath

A land of evil gets its seat

A thing which lies within the mind

That thing from which you cannot hide

The voice within, it leads you here

That sound that brings you constant fear

The warring soul of ancient man

With blood of devils back again

The thing you love and yet despise

Has come for thee, to make thee rise

So come oh friend and make a stand

With me against this horrid band

Of those who seek a world so blank

Who try to pull the greatest prank

To blind the world with useless light

Upon the page both day and night

And thus we all within the fold

Seek distant lands both young and old

For we are not from these plain ways

And oh so many countless days

We watch and wait, for time draws near

When world will fall to distant fear
