Housebound

We got a couch with a big screen
People layin ‘round on everything
Every town, everywhere
Everyday around this place…

We got games and moves ready to play

Makin’ new rules every day

Popcorn, snacks and naps
Bingeing Netflix, streaming YouTube
Masks and our cars full of gas
We’re gonna be home……. for awhile

We’re housebound, unwound

A mixed-at-home kinda buzz
Music and movies, lined up

Stayin’ at home, stayin’ safe

From the kitchen sink to the living room
Long as we’re here, I’ll learn to cook         

And we’re all just waitin’ out this storm
One day at a time, holding onto hope
Yeah
‘Cause we’re housebound, housebound

 Room by room, wall to wall

Parents teachin’ kids, kids tryin’ to stall

Kids outta routine, I’m gonna hit the wall

Cause the parents they be drinkin’                

And it's only ten o'clock

Yeah, we ain’t leavin’, we’re on lockdown
Taking turns runnin’ to the store
But those homemade margaritas
Are they enough to get us through
