Recurrent Dream

Recurrent Dream

A Poem by S.E.C.
"

Not really a dream, more of an unending nightmare.

"

Angelic whispers glide from ear to ear,

As you sight welcomes them ever more near.

A dream the permits no common escape,

Allows your sense of fear one offer to fate.

A dramatic entrance of fellow loved peers,

Hides the capable one who always leers.

A stench that tingles and always shall burn

Is your only sense that tries to warn,

That the shadow of a figure, so mighty and tall,

Is what brings you to your shameful sudden fall

Breathless croaks is what hardly is left

But you whisper back until hoarse and deaf

And no help arises on your limp form

Just a sudden memory that many may not mourn.

Author's Note

S.E.C.
I'm not a very big fan of rhyme, but in this it just kind of fell into my lap. I wrote this for my creative writing class during a Dream Promt. Ignore any bad grammer, please.

I like it.

Good form and interesting use of words.

I might have to re read it to get the complete message.
