Night Time

Night Time

A Poem by Shubhangi
"

Inspired by the nature... A simple description of the night.

"

The canvas is painted black

with dazzling diamonds embedded

and the orb of night spreading its radiance.

Gentle breeze blow,

making the tree shadows move

in a mysterious way.

Man snoring in his warm bed

recharging for the next day;

unaware of the nocturnal creatures

slowly opening their eyes.

For them 'daytime' has just begun.

Wandering here and there,

they look curiously at the concrete forest

every night a new 'tree' is found added.

As the moon slowly paces the sky

man enters a different world

where he can be a kid again

or swim in the chocolate river,

or fly in the sky

or be the king of a terrain.

The canvas now slowly changes its color;

gold beams break the dawn.

Night lovers sneak back to their dens

waiting for the next nightfall.
