was this man dressed in black? Was this man from the
dark side? Was this an actual demon from the pits of hell?....

I think you need a bigger excerpt or a more important one, or at least some background information. Sure, you gave a small blurb at the beginning, but unless I have read more, I have no idea where this character IS, if this is a dream, etc. I'd like to read more.
