Sea Shell's Version 1

We are like sea shells

Once lived in and loved

But once we get to small

Or aren’t enough

We are thrown away and broken

We are left to be drifted painfully across the sand

Sometimes breaking or chipping us

But always grinding us back and forth till the tide is satisfied with our pain

Leaving us detained

We travel far and wide

Sometimes riding a wave

Other times pushed by a tide

But once our journey is over

We are pulled out

Someone else picks us up

Dusts us off and sees us

The waves of the ocean no matter how small

Have transformed us

We are no longer what we use to be

But now we are

Forever changed

Just like when a situation forms

And we learn to live within the cayuse

When the situation subsides

We are left with beauty

From our pain
