A Poem by Max Moore

All they wanted was for this to end

For the bombs to stop dropping

Cascading the jungle in flames

A crowd like any other

Simply asking for change

But you silenced them

Barrels in the air

Took four lives in Ohio

 Not a sentence given

 No blame was placed

They let you go on with your lives

As though everything was the same

Four families torn apart

Because you ruined them

Was it worth it?

Innocent blood on your hands

Four bodies hit the pavement

And you still sit on your couches

You remained the same

While four bodies lay under the spring sunlight
