A Poem by maryam
"

sigh

"
I've been going by my days so hesitant. the memories so delicate. I'm never a pessimist though my longing is evident. wondering how i went out of my element. I'm wholly uninspired. Every time I try to align my lines I find bits of you scattered everywhere making it impossible to form sense. Not certain how you managed such a big role in my life. But what I'm certain of is that ever since our souls devided my pen has been coughing it's last breath, and my papers can't soak up any more blood. For you are carved into the stone walls of my mind.

Perhaps it doesn't need finishing. I think your pen has dripped the blood stagnating in the wounded heart. Once the congealed mess has cleared, the poetic voice may be renewed. This poem speaks to me of the destructive power of a failed love on the spirit. I enjoyed this read.
