Sitting in the Window

Sitting in the Window

A Poem by Saffy
"

A lesson in self-care

"
Sitting in the window, I can hear the rain.
Bouncing off the pavement, and on the window pane.

The world keeps on moving, whilst I sit right here.
Taking time, to settle down, to breathe,
to be sincere.

You have spent time working, to overcome your pain,
You tell me that you're older, and on the road to fame.

Sometimes I sit and watch you, I notice that you're tired.
Perhaps we could take a rest, right here, by the fire.

I will always be here, if you need me, please call.
Let's take time to laugh, to cry, to watch leaves fall.

An open heart will take us anywhere we please,
Together we'll move forward from this fear.

I agree with the Iron Horseman. Also, window "pain" should be window "pane." And you need to use Oxford commas. Other than that, nice job :)

This is a nice sentiment well expressed, but the rhyming scheme kind of disappears at about the halfway mark. I like it, but I would rework the last couple of verses to bring back the the rhythm and rhyme. It would be worth the effort, because it is a nice piece.
