![]() The Man Who Forgot To SeeA Poem by Krishnaraja Sagar T S![]() This poem speaks about the struggles of living a monotonous life, and how to break free from that cycle.![]() Oh! I lost myself, Weaving dreams of others unknown, Seeking meaning of the known. Oh! I shed myself, Time and time again, Just a silhouette of a man who used to be. Ebbs and flows of life, Wrinkled the man who did less, Musing about the "could've been"s. Too afraid to dive in, to get wet, Yet too youthful to not, Consumed by the limbo of sloth. I close my eyes, Shutting the vision devoid of love For the man who forgot to see. Darkness envelops, Oh! What's a beacon of light, To a man who forgot to see! My lips quiver, Reminding the rebel in me of the Chime bells and yells of "Break through!". Oh! How ethereal would be the world be, Of vibrant hues and sublime sights, To a man who forgot to dream. Tears stream, Liberating me from the sorrows. For that tiny speck of hope, I'll strive. Against the stream, Battling the tempests with myself, With grace, I'll prevail. I open my eyes, To millions of fireflies, brimmed with life. And then I knew, I'll keep that moon of a smile, That crescent, my present, And I'll find myself.
