Down the road

Down the road

A Poem by Sage of the River
"

I know I have written a bunch of other goodbye poems but here is my honest and constant one

"
I stare at the things I have.
I stare at them long.
I'm realizing now,
that I think I'm better off.
The more I think,
the more I feel it is right.
The time for goodbye.

I came to you all,
when the rain was falling
and I couldn't find shelter.
So more and more,
I talked to you
and the clouds would go away.

But now I know,
the sun will shine
even as I leave.
'Cause I know I'm better off
down the road.

I may feel sad,
but I know the time is right.
I know that things will be fine.
'Cause as I keep walking
your echos and cries draw fainter.
Because I know you'll never understand
why I'm walking away.

Sage of the River
This is how I feel about closing a group I once loved and leaving a life I never thought I'd leave...
