Imprisoned

Imprisoned

A Poem by Sahar moonlight

Imprisoned

Imprisoned by thoughts

Thoughts that eat my mind

Thoughts that turns my day into night

A moonless night I try to escape

Imprisoned

Imprisoned by feelings

Feelings that press on my heart

Feelings that hold my every breath

Every breath from my chest try to escape

Imprisoned

Imprisoned by Dreams

Dreams that take me high

Dreams that show me a bitter now

A world I try to escape

Imprisoned

Imprisoned in me

and there is no way to escape

Imprisoned.
I captured the sight,
I imagined the night,
Instead of delight
What I found is of fright

Now that's all I can say. Nice wordings, good flow and harmonious rhythm. A very good piece. The picture that came with it just enhanced its beauty to be true.

There are lots of things to hold us captive, only one to free us: We ourselves - the one we will never be free of and cannot escape.
Great poem giving a few examples of what can imprison us and a perfectly concluding ending!

What I like here is the way the repeats give the poem a kind of claustrophobic, panicky feeling, so that fits well to the content, a poem that works excellently.

We can lock up our thoughts and life sometime. Create wall of a prison. Sometime we must stop and break the prison down and run like crazy from the self made prisons. No weakness in this poem. The flow of thoughts gave strength to the very good ending. Thank you for the excellent poem.

Felt each and every word here, took me else where...

Imprisoned
Imprisoned by feelings
Feelings that press on my heart
Feelings that hold my every breath
Every breath from my chest try to escape

Just wonderful lines

We're all prisoners to ourselves... there's only one way out.

Very interesting write.

Imprisoned
Imprisoned by your wonderful skills
Skills that take me further than the most
And Skills who show me you within the ghost
As a way, you just escaped, here....
To the world.

Wonderful poetry! ;)

Thanks,
E.L.
