Afraid

Just a short poem i came up with.

Afraid

You can choose for your life to be ruled by fear.

The darkness without light,

The cries of the night,

The voice which whispers of fright.

The immensity of the unknown,

The honourable dethroned,

Being cast out, unwanted disowned.

The victim of a crime,

The beauty of youth, slowly fading with time,

The inevitable demise thrust upon on a dime.

You can choose for your life to be ruled by fear,

but a life spent afraid is the only thing to fear.
