Released

A Poem by Samantha Greene

She unravels from the world from a silk woven web

The clouds mourn of her ere long departure.

The droplets glisten much like after the first snow fall

Triumphant day.

Tree trunks tie her down.

Her arms sedately sway with the whistle of the clouds.

Uproot from a sorrow life

She begins the elopement.

She is the river

She is the storm

Flowing along

The inestimable cognizance unperceived.

Distinguish the new

Memorializing the old.

Such a animate thing of beauty.

Waves and old city blues

Back to the world as something pure.

Oh beauty! Oh beauty!

Frostbites bring along the distress.

Clouds act as an awning.

She screams

She coils

Through the memories of a short life.

Overpowering everything in her way.

And they cry!

She turns livid and and dimly somber under their possession.

Soon it will clear

Wonders will become fresh again.

Appreciation from the released and discovered back to the world.

Beauty oh beauty of her world

She is the river

She is the storm
