Moody, Me

Moody, Me

A Poem by Sam Sin Sepultura
"

this is how my brain works sometimes :p

"
Up.
Down.
Frown.
Without a sound,
now I'm off the ground.
Smile for a while,
I'm so full of style.
Sigh.
Sink.
Think.
Cry the afternoon,
Hey grin, I'll see you soon.
Fill me full of thrill,
mind like a winding hill.

Yeah, I can relate to THIS one. I often have days where I experience an unusual high, for no reason what-so-ever, then others where I sink into a dark and sinister place also, for no apparent reason. My writing reflects my moods. On a good, happy day, I write a happy poem or piece of prose. But, it's the days when I feel the utter darkness and despair in the world around me that I do my best work.

I don't know if you were having a particularly good day when you wrote this, or a bad one. But, I do know it 'spoke' to me...

thanks, I'm glad it spoke to someone. It's always cool to know that someone else has the feel

You've described my mind/emotions/moods with perfect accuracy. Exhausting, isn't it? This is one of those, "I'm glad I'm not the only one," moments, or, "Such a shame I'm not the only one," depending on how you look at it. ;)

kinda Dr Seuss like. That's a good thing. Do you know how many poets would kill for a rhyme like Green Eggs and ham?
