Why I Left

Why I Left

A Poem by Echo

Swallowed up by a sea of sin

Knowing now I'll never win

Cutting was my first mistake

How many more must I make

Feelings of remorse

As my blood goes its course

Leaking out through my vein

It's driving my mama insane

Seeing her baby girl

Laying where she hurled

Wondering what she could've said

To bring me back from the living dead

But now it's too late

her baby's pain was just too great

Now reading the suicide note

That her youg child wrote

"I know how hard you tried

So much have I cried

I hope you understand

This is what was planned

I love you

Don't doubt it's true

I'll miss your loving ways

There was nothing you could say

I wanted to go

Because I burdened you so"

I think everyone has to have felt like this once in their life, and the truth is, no one can escape sin or what they feel. It's inevitable, but this peice made me think that these are my thoughts from another person's head. I like it, how it flowed and maintained full of emotion. Thanks for the write!
