Losing you.

Losing you.

A Poem by Sami Bond
"

I lost a really close friend of 13 years and I know he's with me every day. This is my tribute to him.

"

You wish, you dream, you hope and love,

You look out the window at the stars above.

You know you're alone but there's someone else there,

You feel the intesity of another's stare.

You think of the memories and how you felt,

You start to feel your whole life melt.

No one ever made you feel that way,

Wishing you could go back to that one day.

Every night I ask the same,

Why is life such a cruel game?

I know you're here and watching me,

Only you see, what I can see.

You have my heart, my thoughts and dreams,

My life was torn at the very seams.

I know you're in a better place,

I just wish I could see your face.

Losing you was a massive task,

Since you've gone I've wore my mask.

I'm smiling for you to keep your memory alive,

Without your help I wouldn't thrive.

In your memory I write for you,

15 years old and nothing you could do.

You're there in heaven, I'm here in life,

I'm soldiering on even though it cuts like a knife.
