just words on my views of todays society

we the people
praise our socialist steeples
peer at others through our selfish peepholes
to justify our own jealous weak hopes

We are rising, word, to the top of the food chain
move over wise world, because its our time to reign
up and up, to the top of the public pyramid
while they try to oppress us with this undignified fear of them

beaten down, broken up, it'll take more than a little luck
look up to the sky, maybe wonder why
a voice tears from your throat, as you scream f**k
as loud as you can, up to the heavens
to appease your fans, and earn lucky sevens

but all we pull is six-six-six
we can't fix this s**t, this mess, this mix
we aren't to blame, but we take to the grave,
this world of ours, isn't ours to save

we didnt start it, we weren't the ones,
point fingers at those, who argue over guns
they argue over peace and they argue over war
while they make lady liberty look like a w***e

but the message will get out, it will be heard
the guys in power, they all preferred
to maintain cover and cower in the dark
like a cheating lover, its all a god damned farce
