Blind

Blind

A Poem by poetforlife

Blind, to what I cannot see

Oblivious to what you think I should be

Carelessly filling up the need

my longing cannot appease.

Deaf to the ringing of your voice

Crushed by every single choice

Crashing on this collision course

Steady the path no more.

Numb to the pain that racks

Knowing I can't turn back

Blood dried on my heart turns black

my very own is the face I slap.

Dumb for I have no speech

So far down, there is no reach

Speak but I don't hear you preach

I am deaf, dumb, blind, numb to thee.

I have read both poems as requested.

However, beyond that fact that I found both poems expressive, emotive, interesting and very enjoyable, I cannot in all honesty comment. The reason for this is - I am NOT a poet. I can comment on prose but poetry always baffles me. My poetic ability stops at bawdy limericks!

Thank you for them. I enjoyed them tremendously.
