The rueful reminiscence...

The rueful reminiscence...

A Poem by Sanjeeta Sharma Pokharel "Hridayaninadini"

When his eyes searched for her,
In that crowd of thousands,
She silently smiled,
And turned ignorant to his quest…

When he tried all his efforts,
To go and talk to her,
She admired his courage,
And faked to be hectic with her works…

When he praised the beauty in her,
About her eyes and her hairs,
She blushed, dear folk,
And rebuked him for flirting…

When he prayed for her success,
To win all the games, She was in-
She thanked him for his prayers,
And stayed away from his unconditional care…

But, now when she feel the same,
For his fathomless love,
Her eyes search for his shadow,
And he's gone…

She wish he was there...
She would have shown
The love she stored for him
In her yearning heart…

Just an imagination...
The rueful reminiscence of romance…

wow what a fantastic wonderful poem..very nicely penned, nice music flowing through the lines and rhyme, sweet images and metaphors..

yes, it is really strange that sometimes we feel someone loving us and when we start to feel the same twards them, we find them have gone..it sounds like a painful game then..

Select a pleasant day, take a pleasant walk to the top of a lonely hill where you and your soul may talk. Bring also water, a bowl and sponge to wipe the mists from your eyes so that you may see aright. Then ask yourself why you sit and stare and think and teach about what it was that is now and may yet be within your reach. I should like very much to know.

Your writing does such strange things to me... should I be ashamed that I enjoy it so much?

We have come to see fathomless love. Its in the lives of our children. But you're right, as we move from youth to adulthood we do understand it as infinite.

Parents' love is beyond being fathomless...Sometime, the fellow travelers tends to reach that point.
if only, if only. Sometimes I wonder what takes us so long to embrace the treasures that are offered. Why do we play such silly games? Do we not remember that games have winners and losers and that sometimes we lose? Well done, beautifully written.

The things we didn't do. Haunt us more then the mistakes of the past. I understand the story and the wish in this poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
