Seashore Cedar

Seashore Cedar

A Poem by Sunflower/Sara Kendrick
"

Free Verse, Written in response to a picture..The picture is not my photo...I do not know who took it and I don't know who to give credit for this photo work..

"

The mighty tree leaning

Into the shore

Wind swept stark

Some limbs totally nude

In the silhouetted

Hours of the night

By soft full moonlight

Its black outline against Cobalt Blue

Waters and land

The distinct shape appears

The shape of a Bird of Paradise

The Plumage full almost see a twist

A twist of its head

As it looks at the moon

Its call is absent

Imagination at work

Can surely supply a simple call

Such beauty to be found in trees that are often damaged by wind as if sculpted by an artist, the same can be said of us humans.
