"

E   enter the waiting chamber

M  moments seem like hours

E  everyone stays away

R  rest on the gurney

G  ghost of those that died here

E  enter and brush the curtain

N  now touches on patient

C  'cause that is all that one sees

Y  yearning to get answers

R  remove to x-ray

O  operative answers will come

O  open to options

M  aybe

wow to captivate all this from the title makes this a very insightful piece because this is just what goes on in the many minds of the collective of both sides. you've done a great job on the format all and all makes this an excellent write.

Very very clever. I think we all have Emergency Room visit stories and this can be a great guide to follow for the resulting "adventures" that come. Nice write.

As a boy I was a frequent guest in the emergency room... You've created such a poignant acrostic detailing both what is seen and what is felt within those white-washed walls... So sorry to hear about the suffering of your husband...

This is an amazing poetry. I love acrostic poems. I know the feeling of hanging out in the waiting room, agony isn't it??
A very moving poem.
