Boondocks Somewhere

A Poem by Sunflower/Sara Kendrick

Tanka inspired by location, hearing song on radio called Down In The Boondocks artist Billy Joe Royal

Down in the boondocks somewhere

Just between nowhere_nothing

Needing a facility_none

Something or nothing.. or, in this case, Sara, EVERYTHING! Finely created, deeply felt.

Hope things worked out for your family member .. a problem like that is like moving in treacle. (You)

I love how this poem turned out, full of so much more meaning than the original situation.

Great job. Almost any situation in our lives can end up putting a poem in our heads that we need to put down on paper.
