Anguished Widower

Anguished Widower

A Poem by Sara Lynn
"

Losing the one and only thing that keeps you sane and on your feet.

"

Anguished Widower

He paced the floor,
“How can this be?”
Tugs hair,
grinds teeth.
Sobs,
“She can’t be gone.”
Slides down the wall,
sits in the nearest corner.
Nausea builds,
clutches his knees.
Weeps silently,
begs for closure.
Rocks back and forth,
sweating like a pig.
Tears rolled,
as acceptance,
finally crashed.

So little said and yet it strikes the heart deep. You really get the feelings the character is going through. Great job :)
