Change

Change

A Poem by Sara

The trees dance in the howling wind

Like the molds of our lives

Never etched in stone, or

Cast in iron.

Dont tell me that you love me

The warmth of the sun errodes

At the blanket of ice

Like our dreams vanish into the morning light

You dont want me anymore

Cradling my love in the palm of your hand

The flowers grow through the frozen ground

The hurt inside of me turns to anger

You put yourself inside me

Holding on to the grips of my fingers,

Poisoning me with your touch,

And disabling my opinions.

Holding me down

And infesting my body with your violence.

Here comes the life.

Back to the earth,

Back to my body, back to my soul

Looking into my eyes,

Poisoning my heart with piercing thoughts

And laced words.

Turning my stomach upside down,

Shredding my heart into pieces,

Putting my mind into overdrive,

I cant let you ruin me.

Like the sun ruined the rain

And the heat ruined the cold.

Like I've been ruined before.

I love the imagery in this. The descriptions and use of nature (rain, the sun, ect...) is very beautiful. Well written, and overall awesome poem.
