A Poem by Sarah W. French
"

...

"
She grabs the bottle of pills
          He tightens the rope
They write a good bye note
I tried to stop her
I listened to their every plea
But I couldn't compete with thee
She won the battle
                                     He escaped the hate
                                  They took their final breath
They lie in the ground
        safe from your words
               safe from the hurt.
But they could be here
       safe in the loving arms
safe in the knowledge that someone cares.

Very well written :)

Wow, you wrote this on World Suicide Prevention Day? It's a wonderful piece for that day. Really well done. Not to mention a 15 year old girl who writes things to help prevent suicide--this really shocks me with todays youth. Maybe there is hope for this world, yet. Keep on writing, you're really good.
