The Beautiful Sea

The Beautiful Sea

A Poem by Sarah Wlochal

I believe that I will never see
A mountain as beautiful as the sea.

A sea whose waves crash onto the sand
That lies on such bountiful land;

A sea that holds fish galore.
And brings her waters to the shore;

A sea that may in winter freeze
As ice brings a cool, chilled breeze;

A breeze that fishermen grasp with might;
As they hold their fishing poles tight.

Mountains were made by he ,
But only I can swim the sea.

I'm not a big fan of this line, for the sole purpose that it doesn't seem to make much sense. Seeking=searching. If you replace the word "seek" with the word search, it just doesn't make sense. (I'm not talking about the rhyme pattern.
Get what I'm saying.
But on the other hand,
this piece has fantastic metaphors, and enviable detail.
Other than that little slipup at the beginning, which can be easily changed, I actually liked it :)
