Dad

Dad

A Poem by Sarah
"

Maybe it's too late for this. But now it's there.

"
I miss you that hard
I can't describe it with words
Wouldn't now where to start
Can only tell you it hurts

You read me stories at night
You made up my day
We near to never had a fight
You reminded me I was okay

But this time is over
And I'm okay with that
But that I barely see you drives me mad

Now it's special when we meet each other
Sometimes I'm afraid that you don't bother

Want to be perfect
 So you are proud
But I just can't be
Never said that out loud

Always wanted to tell you
Never knew how
But for goodness sake
I do now

You are an idol to me
And so important as no other me will ever be

This must have been a painful poem to write, there's so much feeling in it, Sarah. But you know something - ? When a girl can write such honest and lovely words, a dad has to be so very proud.. believe me.

Take care, keep strong.
