The blend of physical, mental, and spiritual peace is known as yoga. It is the practice that originated in ancient India around 400 CE. The word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj meaning “to yoke” or “to unite”. The motive behind the practice of yoga is to create unison between the body, mind, and spirit as well as between the individual and universal consciousness. This helps to neutralize ego-driven thoughts and behaviors and at the same time a sense of spiritual awakening, which is much needed in today’s time.

When we talk about students’ lives, they are highly considered our future leaders and it’s very important to keep our learners mentally and physically sound in all possible ways. At this young age, we at Sarvottam try to provide our students with the perfect environment to practice yoga. It has been observed that students who practice yoga regularly are most likely to have a positive effect on both their health and academics.

There are various benefits of yoga esp. for students, and it is really important to incorporate yoga into the school curriculum. Sarvottam International School offers a holistic view of mental health, the body, and harmony with nature.

Improve concentration

Concentration means focused attention in a particular direction. It assists in studying, enables faster comprehension, improves memory, and helps in focusing on a given task. When physical and mental resources are focused, one’s power to solve a problem multiplies tremendously. Yoga helps clear the mind and can make it easier to concentrate while reading, studying, and sitting during classes. The breathing techniques taught in yoga are also easily applicable to students when they need to focus.

Improve posture

In today’s time, when our kids are leading a comfortable life, all thanks to our latest inventions and technology that have made our lives easy, we must pay for the benefits. We don’t realize that poor posture can put serious stress and strain on specific body parts such as the spine which can further lead to damage and affect our physical and mental health. It’s especially important for children to be aware of good posture because the habits they develop now can go on for a lifetime. Yoga also helps students to improve their posture while walking, sitting and standing.

Improve attention span and memory

The need for and importance of yoga in education also follows from the fact that it helps in improving attention span. With yoga helping to improve memory function, its direct impact can also be seen in the child’s academic performance. In fact, yoga has also been seen to bring benefits to children suffering from ADHD by reducing its core symptoms such as inattentiveness and hyperactivity.

Physical well-being

Yoga is known to enhance flexibility, strength, and coordination. Apart from enhancing muscle flexibility, strength yoga can also help with weight management and improve body posture. Regular Yoga practice has also been associated with optimizing body functions like breathing, and heart rate, lowering blood pressure, keeping cardiovascular health problems at bay, and more. Today childhood obesity has become a potent problem on account of the increase in the consumption of junk food and a sedentary lifestyle. Yoga helps children counter these adverse effects and lead healthy and energetic life.

Reduce and eliminate pressure

It is one of the reasons that we should include yoga sessions for our learners as it eliminates stress, sometimes students are under a lot of stress and pressure. It may be from family and friends to succeed, and a demanding social atmosphere all piles up and takes a toll on their physical and mental health. Reducing and eliminating stress by taking just a few minutes each day to breathe deeply can potentially help the students.

Enhance Self-esteem

Lack of confidence leaves students doubting their ability to succeed, making them hesitant to engage in learning or take appropriate academic growth risks. Yoga helps students to boost their confidence and self-esteem. They learn to love and respect their feelings, something that is very important for learners. Yoga improves self-regulation skills and adds to persistence. With yoga, students can learn to adapt their emotions and feelings according to their environment and situation

So...the fool posting this crap deleted my comments, thinking that ends the matter. In so doing, he demonstrates that the school teaches its students to disrespect others, and that breaking rules is acceptable simply because you want to. Of course, the parents of prospective students, who are reading the various review sites, doing research on the quality of the school and its teaching, might disagree.

In the real-world, actions have consequences. In this case, unless the school notifies me that this account has been deleted by end of day Monday, 11/14, they can be certain that there will be a truthful, and accurate review of the school's lack of ethical behavior on Yelp, Mouthshut, Quora, Google, Sitejabber, and others.

Of course, if these comments disappear again before then, I will begin those reviews immediately. And guess who they will blame?
