Wet Leaves

Wet Leaves

A Poem by sasha

Wet aspen leaves are stuck together

In the grass, in soggy ground cover

Beneath the trees, rain stops, dull weather,

Evening silence of the streets discover

That time everyone looked solemn

Wet road surface solemn, solemn voice

Of stream of time and thought of autumn

There was so much that evening to rejoice

Wet leaves are now everywhere here, such a rainy September this autumn. Thank you for stopping by, Jacob.

the solemn right before the storm of joy---well for me anyway..i love autunm...and really like how you worded this...much like life...people often walk around looking so downtrodden...it's because they just don't count their blessings...too many good things to let those downpours of rain and wet leaves bring us down.
