What You Did...

What You Did...

A Poem by Sasha Kaur
"

A poem about falling in love, then catching yourself before you fall completely, and building your walls back up.

"
The first time I saw you,
I couldn't believe my eyes,
I didn't know what to do,
As I looked into your mesmerizing eyes.

I watched every move you made,
And listened to every word you said,
But at the end of the day,
We parted ways.

I refused to forget you,
As I thought about you through and through,
You nearly drove me insane,
But now, all you're doing,
Is causing me pain.

You were not aware of what you did to me,
Although it was in plain sight for you to see,
Now I've realized that it was my mistake,
One I'd promised myself I would never make.

I let my guard down that day,
As I let you into my heart,
Now I'll go my own way,
Because the best thing for me,
Is for us to be apart.

This was a solid poem as it put forth a flow of idea and got it across by it's end. I'm not sure if the rhymes that you had were accidental or not, as they didn't stay consistent in the piece. I think the rythem of the poem would improve if it was all rhymed or not at all.

Overall it was a nice piece of ink.
Thanks for sharing your craft.
