I know what day was today

I know what day was today

A Poem by Fernando Dardón
"

This is what you write when the pain is gone

"
I know what day is today
and today was once perfect.
When the sky wasn't any further
and the sea wasn't any deeper

Memories come back again,
with a friendly hand
and also a smiley face,
to remember me I must go ahead.

I know what day is today,
the day I got to smile again.
A chance to face inner fears,
leaving away insecurities.

Dreams came true among nightmares
and the hardest was the easiest.
Craziness was so normal,
'cause night and day where the same.

I know what day was today,
when something deep inside me,
learned to smile and to cry,
learned to calm and to fight.

I know what day was today.
The day that will stay in my head,
the day I will thank and pray,
to be something that made me a better man.

We float in and out of these feelings like ships without captains, it seems. We find ourselves within days like these only to be thrown headlong into their opposites. This was lovely in that it showed the beauty that can exisit, and therefore the need for each of us to continue pushing forward toward that beauty. Well done.

This must have been a special day to you, I don't know why, but there lays much emotion, during this day, and you write on a mature way about it.... I see this as a new beginning to something. Very well done.
