Blink Of An Eye

Blink Of An Eye

A Poem by Saz Davis
"

Something I wrote a while ago that I found again the other day and, after a little revising, I kind of enjoy.

"
They say worlds collide overnight

The rapture happens in the blink of an eye

And when you hear those trumpets, run

If one could judge then maybe he holds a grudge

When the doubts all form as one

Would it make itself a god of its own?

And if the b******s serve as the kings

Why are thieves and such put lower than me?

I don't breath alone

Down here we all float

I could take these guys

I could take you anywhere

Plug me into the ground

Tie my arms with roots 'til I'm bound

I could take this god

I could
Take you anywhere
