Wight Night Complex (Shattered Mask)

Wight Night Complex (Shattered Mask)

A Poem by Gavin M. S.
"

"Wight Night Complex" is a reference an actual, "White Knight Complex." It's supposed to represent a fallout I had with a friend and my feelings in our friendship (which has somewhat repaired itself).

"
A dissected corpse,
Put on display for your children to see,
Through the sockets of my skull you may see,
A past of damned people and places,
An anger and sorrow over a shattered mask,

Behold my armor!
That as complex as the Wight Night,
As pitiful as petrified skulls, bleached,
Weaker than this alluring damsel, two faced,

Defoliated roses wrap my arms,
The ancient sages preaching my fate,
A fallen Angel awaiting my defeat,

Standing atop the Tower,
Quakes and Thunder opening my fate,
The Morality soon opens this gate,
The Devil stands before as my shadow

My... True... Self...

Behold my armor!
That as complex as the Wight Night,
As pitiful as petrified skulls, bleached,
Weaker than this alluring damsel, two faced,
Shattered more than her facade
More painful than the lies of God,

(Lies of God)
(Lies of God)
(Lies of God)

Behold... my dying armor...
That as complex as the Wight Night

Anger and sorrow over a shattered mask...

Author's Note

Gavin M. S.
Keep in mind "Wight Night Complex" is a play on words toward the actual "White Knight Complex." While both are meant to reflect on the poem, more specifically, "Wight" is meant to represent feeling as though I am a ghost, ethereal and insignificant. "Night" refers to how my sleeping habits changed as a result of stress. "White Knight Complex" represents how exactly I acted for a majority of the time before the fallout.
