No One Told Me

No One Told Me

A Poem by ScarletStorm
"

My own experience with getting out of a bad relationship in a free verse poem.

"
No one told me what was on the side of the tunnel,
They told me how to navigate it, how to dig out,
No one told me about the blinding light on the other side,
They said 'keep going', while others thought I would never get out,

Through the darkness, I went, and like a hero, I stepped into the morning light,
Leaving behind the tunnel, it became nothing more than a bad dream,
I knew it was there behind me, but, knowing it was behind me made me cry,
the happiest tears of my life, because I finally remembered the light,

And forgot the dark tunnel ever existed.

I'm still learning so constructive criticism is welcomed. This was sorta just a from the heart kind of thing so sorry if it's sloppy.
