Agoraphobia

Agoraphobia

A Poem by Catherine
"

A terzanelle

"

Outside the door is where it waits
Silently preying on my mind
Fear has claimed me as its date

To terror I am never blind
Trapped, alone, I feel its grasp
Silently praying on my mind

I cannot breathe, I cannot gasp
I am controlled by foolish fear
Trapped, alone, I feel its grasp

There's no one home, no one here
I try to make my being fade
I am controlled by foolish fear

But fear is solid, it can't be swayed
It holds me even tighter now
I try to make my being fade

I cannot hide, I don't know how
It holds me even tighter now
Outside the door is where it waits
Fear has claimed me as its date
