MERE XXIII

MERE XXIII

A Poem by Seanne Tholltree

I was like hypnotized when I closed my eyes as he says so,
I've got a cold feet when he's doing it.
I can't believe I've lost it this early!
I took care of it for more than 20 years and now it's gone!
I said no,
I told him that I don't wanna lose it!
But he insisted I've forgotten my lifetime promise
That it'll stay virgin up to my last breath
Now whenever I face the mirror I remember
The feeling of how he moved me
I hate myself for allowing him touch it,
Stroke it back and forth and now left me crying
As I look at my merely divirginized eyebrows!
