A Poem by David Koran

The gorgeous red at sunset's bed
recalls the gulls to sea
and on the rise of tourist eyes
a light show comes to be

The bay ignites in diamond fire
the children stop and stare
a multitude in silent sight
and no one breathes the air

A brilliant orb descends the sky
to touch the ocean's end
the atmosphere goes warm and dry
as night begins to bend

around the world of salt and sand
and echoes lax of origin
and tired light that can not stand
the darkness pushing in

The boardwalk stills, the sliver slips
with flames the sea is fed
the treading sun first bows then dips
and rests at sunset's bed.

About
I'm a poet. It comes naturally to me, and people seem to like my work. I figure that's enough to justify my passion. I'm ecclectic too, enjoying theater, music, games, outdoors, history, and talents o.. more..
